Boeing and NASA are still not sure when they will bring the Starliner spacecraft home. At a press conference on Wednesday, NASA said it was aiming for a return by the end of the month, but has not yet given a firm date.
Tests that should help explain the problem are expected to be completed by the end of this week, at which point it will be clearer when the mission will end.
The two astronauts have been stuck in orbit around the International Space Station since early June due to problems with their Starliner.
RETURN JOURNEY AND POSSIBLE HAZARDS
The real concern is that engineers haven’t figured out what’s going on with the thrusters that will return the spacecraft to Earth.
