BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.33 percent in the first half of the day and rose to 12,254.39 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, reached 12,254.39 points as of 13:00, with an increase of 40.81 points and 0.33 percent compared to the previous closing.
The total transaction volume was 50.3 billion lira. The banking index lost 0.36 percent and the holding index lost 0.98 percent.
Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was mining with 3.39 percent, and the biggest loser was financial leasing factoring with 5.12 percent.
Global markets remain mixed due to developments in the Middle East, expectations for company revenues on the technology side, and predictions about the policy steps the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will take in the coming period.
Analysts stated that the consumer confidence index and inflation expectation data of the University of Michigan in the USA will be followed for the rest of the day, and noted that technically, 12,400 and 12,500 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and 12,100 and 12,000 points are support.
