There can only be victory,” said the Republican in his speech at the memorial event at the headquarters of the Defense Department near Washington, the Pentagon. “We salute the soldiers who are working right now to ensure that the world’s leading sponsor of terror, the Islamic Republic Iranwill never have a nuclear weapon.”

In advance, the media had speculated whether Trump might have originally had the idea of ​​coming to New York. The New York Times, citing four unnamed people, reported that the president wanted to go to the memorial event at Ground Zero and give a speech. However, no speeches by politicians have been given at this ceremony for years. Trump rejected the newspaper’s report as false and fabricated.

At the memorial ceremony in New York, some relatives nevertheless addressed Trump and the US government directly, in very unusual deviations from the speech script, and asked for possible connections Saudi Arabia to re-investigate the terrorist attacks and to publish relevant documents transparently.
