229 PERCENT INCREASE IN DEFENSE

The Jerusalem Post announced to its readers that Ankara will increase its defense expenditures by 229 percent in the next three years. The newspaper pointed out that this was the highest increase among the seven priority areas in the 2027-2029 program.

IT LEAVED OTHER STRATEGIC AREAS BEHIND

The Israeli newspaper also compared the increase in defense with other investments. While the increase in social housing was 150 percent, in mineral exploration 139 percent, in industrial infrastructure 54 percent, this rate reached 229 percent in defense.

KAAN, KIZILELMA AND ALTAY

The newspaper pointed out that the huge budget increase will support the mass production of the KAAN fighter jet and the first deliveries of Bayraktar KIZILELMA. The news also stated that more than 10 ALTAY tanks are planned to be delivered to the Turkish Land Forces.

Türkiye 18TH IN THE WORLD

Based on SIPRI data, The Jerusalem Post reported that Türkiye’s military expenditures will reach 30 billion dollars in 2025. Thus, Türkiye became the 18th country with the highest military expenditure in the world, and expenditures increased by 7.2 percent in one year.
