Just a few days before schools open, parents’ education expenses have come to the fore again. In addition to stationery, school uniform and other expenses, service fees were one of the items that put the greatest strain on families’ budgets.
Before the new academic year in Istanbul, school bus fees were increased by 10 percent. With the new tariff, the annual service fee has increased to over 90 thousand liras, especially for long distances.
35 PERCENT ADDITIONAL FEE FOR GUIDE PERSONNEL
Günhan Sınar, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Shuttles, announced that a 35 percent guide staff fee will be added to the tariff for shuttles with guide personnel.
Sınar also stated that if there is an increase in fuel prices in the coming period, they may request another increase in service fees.
While parents react to the new prices, service tradesmen argue that the current tariff is low compared to the costs.
FEE WILL NOT BE ASKED EXCEEDING THE TARIFF
No additional service fee will be requested from parents other than the official tariff. Parents will not be forced to pay more than the tariff at the offer stage before the contract is signed.
Service fees can be paid in installments on an annual or semi-annual basis; Payments can be made by cash or credit card. Parents who use credit cards will not be forced to make a single payment, and those who prefer to pay in cash will not be forced to pay the entire fee at once.
