Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek will attend the high-level investor and climate finance events to be held in London on 24-25 June.
According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent from the Ministry, Minister Şimşek will go to London this evening due to his contacts in England.
Şimşek, who will meet with global investors as part of his contacts for the “London Climate Action Week” event, will make evaluations on climate finance, sustainable growth and the latest developments in the Turkish economy.
Şimşek’s contacts are also important in terms of strengthening the climate finance agenda and international cooperation before the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31), which Türkiye will host in Antalya this year.
WILL MEET WITH INVESTORS
Within the scope of the program, Şimşek will speak at the opening sessions of the Net Zero Delivery Summit and Climate Resilience Finance Summit programs.
Minister Şimşek will also meet with investors at the BNP Paribas Türkiye Conference and make evaluations regarding the developments in the Turkish economy and the reform agenda to international fund managers and investors.
Şimşek will return home on Thursday after his contacts that will start tomorrow.
