Industrial production increased for the first time since November. The increase in industrial production in February was 2.2 percent. The previous decline was 1.8 percent.
When the subsectors of the industry (with a reference year of 2021 = 100) are examined, in February 2026, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 4.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, the manufacturing industry sector index increased by 2.4 percent, and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 2.2 percent.
MONTHLY INCREASE
When the sub-sectors of the industry are examined, in February 2026, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous month, the manufacturing industry sector index increased by 3.3 percent and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 3.6 percent.
In February, medium-high technology and capital goods increased the most.
