Branding activities continue to support exports in Turkey and to diversify the countries and markets of exported products.
In this context, all kinds of support programs such as R&D and technology development, electronic commerce, entry into foreign markets, participation in domestic and international fairs, organization and similar are implemented. In addition, priority is given to maintaining state supports provided to service export sectors and developing value-added service exports.
It is aimed to increase the number of trade and purchasing delegations in order to increase the number of companies supported within the scope of the Turquality Program, which aims to help Turkish brands strengthen internationally.
According to the Trade Regulation, Development and Facilitation Program to be carried out within this framework, the number of companies to be supported for service exports is expected to reach 25 thousand at the end of the year and 28 thousand next year.
The number of brands supported within the scope of Turquality and brand programs for service exports, which was 84 last year, will be increased to 95 by the end of this year. The number is aimed to be increased to 100 in 2025.
Within the scope of the same programs for goods exports, it is aimed to support 320 brands by the end of the year and 330 brands in 2025.
Increasing the share of medium and high technology product exports in manufacturing industry exports is also among the goals of the program. Accordingly, it is aimed to increase the share of these products in exports to 40.5 percent at the end of the year and to 42 percent next year.
The program also highlights the “Green Deal Compliance Project Support”, which aims to increase the compliance capacity of companies in Turkey, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, on issues such as environmental sustainability, low-carbon production and energy efficiency.
The number of companies included in this support is planned to be increased to 50 by the end of the year and to 250 in 2025.
The share of the foreign contracting and technical consultancy services sector in the world market is targeted to be 4.5 percent by the end of this year and next year. In addition, while the business volume of overseas contracting services is expected to be 26 billion dollars at the end of the year, a volume of 30 billion dollars is predicted next year.
The annual project amount of the foreign technical consultancy services sector is targeted to be 210 million dollars by the end of the year. The amount in question is aimed to reach 225 million dollars in 2025.
EFFECTIVE FOREIGN TRADE POLICY WILL CONTINUE
The program also plans to maintain effective foreign trade policies. Accordingly, it is envisaged to increase the number of import protection measures, measures against the ineffectiveness of measures, dumping and subsidy investigations.
It is aimed to increase the share of electronic exports, which constitute an important pillar of international trade with developing technology, in total exports to 3.3 percent at the end of the year and to 5 percent next year.
Other goals include encouraging economic activities for domestic trade, making necessary regulations, and continuing efforts to develop tradesmen and craftsmen and cooperatives.
In this context, the e-commerce transaction volume is expected to be 3.4 trillion lira at the end of the year and 5.7 trillion lira in 2025, while the share of e-commerce in general trade is aimed to be 21.5 percent at the end of 2024 and 23 percent next year.
The number of women’s cooperatives is planned to reach 1150 by the end of the year and 1200 in 2025.
It is aimed that 155 cooperatives will benefit from the support provided within the scope of the Cooperatives Support Program (KOOP-DES) by the end of the year and 190 cooperatives in 2025.
According to the proposal, 43 billion 2 million 229 thousand 838 lira resources were allocated from next year’s budget to achieve the said targets.
