South Korean broadcaster MTN announced that Pearl Abyss Crimson DesertHe said that he gave his employees a special bonus of 5 million won to celebrate ‘s passing the 5 million copy threshold.

Pearl Abyss CEO Heo Jin-young said in an internal statement: “I express my deep respect and gratitude to each of you who have worked hard to create a product that has attracted great attention from the world. I am paying a bonus to all employees who quietly perform their duties in their positions, to celebrate reaching 5 million sales.”

MTN stated that according to current official figures, Pearl Abyss has 733 employees, making the total amount paid for the bonus 3.7 billion won (about $2.5 million). It seems that the work does not end there and another bonus will be paid at the beginning of 2027, based on 2026 financial performance.

While not even a month has passed since the game was released, the figures reached are truly astounding. Crimson Desert proved its ambitious start by selling 2 million copies in the first 24 hours after its launch. As of April 2026, the game’s total sales have already surpassed the 5 million threshold.
