Following the Retirement Agenda Regulation, all eyes turned to employees who had insurance access after September 8, 1999. Especially those who were insured for the first time between 2000 and 2008 are investigating whether a new regulation will be made for gradual retirement. However, there is no official law that brings gradual retirement into effect as of 2026.

IS THERE A GRADED RETIREMENT IN 2026?
As of 2026, there is no new law that puts gradual retirement into effect.
Although demands, statements and some legislative proposals on the subject have been brought to the agenda, there is no regulation published in the Official Gazette yet.

There is no definitive calendar regarding when gradual retirement will occur.
In order for a new regulation to be made, the bill must pass through the Turkish Grand National Assembly and become law and come into force.
