Following the 12-month CPI data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the housing rent increase rates for July 2024 have also been announced.
RENT INCREASE RATE IS 65.07 PERCENT
With this statement made by TÜİK, the rate of increase to be made in rents in July 2024 has also been determined. However, tenants will pay a 65.07 percent increased rent.
HAS THE RENT INCREASE LIMIT BEEN LIFTED?
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek made statements regarding the economic agenda in a program he attended.
Şimşek also spoke about the eagerly awaited 25 percent limit.
Minister Şimşek had said regarding the rent limitation, “I don’t see any reason for it to continue. I don’t think it should. There is no work being done to continue it. That regulation was already in place for a while. I think it will most likely not continue. I believe that there should be no intervention in prices in the market.”
