The most important point in the highway network, which reached Austria via Slovenia and connects the Mediterranean, the Balkans and Central Europe, has been left behind in the Karavanke Tunnel project.

Infrastructure works have been successfully completed in Karavanke Tunnel. The Karavanke Tunnel, which is a strategic crossing point in the Alp Mountains, will be opened to traffic in the first quarter of 2026 after the completion of work on mechanical and asphalt layers, concrete road manufacturing, epoxy paint manufacturing, tunnel lighting and ventilation systems and other electromechanical systems.

According to the statement; The total length of the Karavanke Tunnel, which is the longest highway tunnel built within the borders of Slovenia and located in the Hrusica region of the Alpine Mountains, will be 7,822 meters. In the project, Cengiz İnşaat built 3,446 meters within the borders of Slovenia; It will be the first infrastructure project implemented by a Turkish contractor company in Slovenia.
