The US government is doing so-called anti-Christian bias. Justice Minister Pam Bondi headed a first cabinet meeting on the subject and presented a working group to identify and end “all illegal anti -Christian measures, practices or behaviors”. She referred to a corresponding decree that President Donald Trump had signed.
Bondi cited the arrest of Christian abortion opponents under the government of Trump’s predecessor Joe Biden as an example of an anti -Christian attitude. They “prayed peacefully in front of abortion clinics” and were arrested. President Trump was right that the Ministry of Justice had targeted Christians and at the same time ignored anti-Christian attacks.
Among other things, Minister of Defense Pete Hegseth, Minister of Health Robert F. Kennedy JR, Minister of Homeland Protection Kristi Noem and FBI boss Kash Patel took part in the meeting.
Despite his recent criticism of Jerome Powell, US President Donald Trump does not intend to fire the head of the US Federal Reserve. “I don’t have the intention of releasing him,” Trump said on Tuesday in the White House about Powell. However, he would “like to see” it if this would be more active in relation to a reduction in interest. The Republican has been asking Powell in some of the sharp words from Powell for a long time. Among other things, Trump called him “Mr. too late”. Most recently, Trump’s business advisor Kevin Hassett had not excluded Powell’s dismissal.
Trump’s repeated attacks on Powell have triggered discomfort on the markets worldwide in the past trading days. Experts fear a fundamental loss of trust in the economic power of the USA, should the independence of the most important central bank in the world are impaired by political influence. Powell himself explained that a deduction would not be legally permitted. He has also announced that he does not want to clear his post. Powell’s term of office ends in May 2026. In mid-April, he said there were signs of slowing down the US economy. However, the FED sees no urgent need for action.
The United States announced another trip by the US envoy Steve Witkoff for talks in Moscow with President Vladimir Putin. US President Donald Trump spoke to Witkoff during the day, explains presidential spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt. Previously, the Russian news agency Interfax, citing the government, reported that Witkoff would visit Moscow this week. So far he has run three meetings with Putin. Read more about this here.
A US federal judge orders an end to the government of President Donald Trump to close state-supported broadcasters such as Voice of America, Radio Free Asia and Middle East Broadcasting Networks. The congress approved their transfers and approved the funds in order to provide an “exact, objective and comprehensive” news source in other countries, according to Royce Lamberth. This deals with six lawsuits by affected employees and contractors of the responsible authority Usagm. The government must now take all the necessary steps in order to reuse employees and contractors and continue the shipments. There is initially no statement by the Trump government.
Contrary to the first reports, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will not take part in a meeting in London about the end of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. This has “logistical” reasons, said the spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry, Tammy Bruce. It should not be a rating of the meeting, but is connected with Rubios schedule. According to her, the US special envoy Keith Kellogg will participate as planned. It remained unclear whether the US specialist Steve Witkoff would take part. Rubio took part in a cabinet meeting on Tuesday afternoon (local time), which was about the fight against anti -Christian bias.
