According to the results of household labor research; In May 2025, the number of unemployed people decreased by 2 million 972 thousand people in May 2025 compared to the previous month.
The unemployment rate decreased by 0.2 points to 8.4 percent.
While the unemployment rate was 6.5 percent in men, it was estimated to be 11.9 percent in women.
The number of employees increased by 100 thousand people in May 2025 compared to the previous month to 32 million 519 thousand people and the employment rate increased by 0.1 points to 49.0 percent. This rate was 66.3 percent for men, while 32.2 percent in women.
The labor force increased by 31 thousand people in May 2025 compared to the previous month and 35 million 491 thousand people, while the labor force participation rate remained at the same level, 53.5 percent. While the labor force participation rate was 70.9 percent for men, 36.5 percent in women.
