According to its own information, the Israeli military is investigating several incidents in which Palestinian civilians have become victims of Israeli shelling near auxiliary centers in the Gaza Strip. The army confirmed corresponding media reports on request.
The “Times of Israel” had previously reported that Israeli soldiers had shot sharply in the past if people outside the intended routes or outside the opening hours had approached the auxiliary centers and presented a threat to the soldiers. The newspaper reported that “few people” were killed, citing Israel’s army.
In three cases, the military has also given artillery fire to areas near the centers in order to prevent Palestinians from approaching certain zones outside the distribution points. There were 30 to 40 victims, including “several deaths”. According to Palestinian information, around 550 Palestinians have been killed in the area of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) since its opening at the end of May. The figures on victims at the centers published by authorities in the Gaza Strip are exaggerated, it said in the report of the “Times of Israel”, citing Israel’s military. The information on both sides cannot currently be verified independently.

Germany, France and Great Britain have condemned threats from Iran against the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi. In a joint explanation of the foreign ministries of the three countries on Monday, the leadership in Tehran is also asked to ensure the security of IAEA employees in Iranian territory. “We ask the Iranian authorities to refrain from all steps that end the cooperation with the IAEA,” it said. Iran had previously stated that the security of the IAEA inspectors could not be guaranteed.
A Hardliner newspaper in Iran had called for the execution of Grossis. The newspaper “Kayhan”, close to the top guide Ajatollah Ali Chamenei, described the IAEA boss as Israeli agents. If Grossi entered Iran, he must be put to court and sentenced to death, the article said. Iran’s government officially rejected the allegation of a threat. Iranian UN ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani denied that there was a threat to Grossi.
