Türkiye became the 3rd fastest growing economy in the OECD in 2025

Türkiye was among the top 3 countries with the fastest growing economy among the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries, whose data for last year were announced.

Türkiye continues to grow with the economic program it implements and the performance it exhibits.

According to the data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the Turkish economy grew by 3.4 percent annually, 0.4 percent quarterly and 3.6 percent overall last year in the last quarter of 2025.

Türkiye, which increased its quarterly growth streak to 22 years and its annual growth streak to 16 years, ranked among the top 3 in the OECD’s fastest growing countries list. Türkiye shared the 3rd place with Poland, which recorded a growth of 3.6 percent.

Ireland and Costa Rica were recorded as the top 2 fastest growing countries with 12.6 percent and 4.6 percent. In the ranking, Türkiye and Poland were followed by Israel with 3.1 percent and Denmark with 2.9 percent.

Among the OECD countries whose Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data were announced, the ones that recorded the lowest growth were Germany and Finland with 0.2 percent.

Türkiye RANKS 5th IN G20 LIST

Turkey ranked 5th among the G20 countries with 3.6 percent growth data.

Among the countries in question, the country with the fastest growing economy in 2025 was India, with 7.6 percent.

This country was followed by Indonesia with 5.11 percent, China with 5 percent and Saudi Arabia with 4.5 percent.
