Oman is calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Iran war and a “return to responsible regional diplomacy.” Following support from “all four corners of the earth” to end the war between Iran on the one hand and Israel and the USA on the other, Oman is also joining these efforts, said Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi. “We have ways out. Let’s use them.”
It was only hours before drone attacks occurred again in the Gulf state, which is only separated from Iran by the Strait of Hormuz and dozens of kilometers as the crow flies. Targets included the trading port of Dukm and the coastal city of Salalah. Iran denied being behind the attack.

A fire broke out in or at the US Consulate in Dubai following a suspected Iranian drone attack. This is shown by several videos shared on social networks. There are said to have been Iranian drone attacks before.
Israel says it has bombed Iran’s secret nuclear facility. The site, called Minzadehei, was located in the north of the country and was used by researchers to develop nuclear weapons. After the drone attack on the British base in Cyprus, the NATO states Great Britain and France are increasing their presence in the Mediterranean. The British will send drone defense helicopters and a warship, Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced. According to the Cypriot state news agency KYPE, France is sending air defense and anti-drone systems as well as a frigate to the eastern Mediterranean.
The British base in Akrotiri near the port city of Limassol was attacked with a drone on Monday night. According to government sources, two more drones were later intercepted. The drone that fell on the base was of the Shahed type, said President Nikos Christodoulidis. These drones are mainly produced in Iran. Citing security sources, Cypriot media reported that the drones could have been launched from Lebanon. The EU member is located in the Mediterranean off the Levant coast.
