Turkey’s LPG exports increased by 1.52 percent last year

According to the data compiled from the annual LPG sector report of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), the total LPG production of refinery license holders last year decreased by 16.4 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 920 thousand 122 tons.

Last year, LPG was exported to 17 different countries and regions, and the top 5 exported countries were Switzerland, Lebanon, Romania, Bulgaria and Tunisia.

Exports were made to Austria and Djibouti for the first time last year. Export activities were carried out mainly by İsdemir, Körfez Petrokimya, İskenderun and Aliağa Customs Directorates.

Thus, LPG exports made by refinery and distributor license holders last year were recorded as 416 thousand 117 tons, increasing by 1.52 percent compared to the previous year.

On the other hand, LPG imports made by refiners, distributors and processing license holders last year increased by 21.49 percent compared to the previous year and reached 3 million 893 thousand 751 tons.

LPG was imported from a total of 13 different countries and regions. The top 5 countries with the most imports were Algeria, USA, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and Nigeria.
