After Donald Trump came to power, several important subpages disappeared from the White House website. The constitution is also no longer available.
On Monday, Donald Trump officially took over the post of US President from his predecessor Joe Biden. But not only power in the White House passed to the Republican, but also responsibility for the US government website. One change immediately caused trouble.
Because several pages have simply disappeared from the “whitehouse.gov” website since Trump came to power. Among other things, there are no subpages explaining the Constitution of the United States and the “Bill of Rights” – the latter is the name for the first ten amendments to the Constitution, which also includes the ban on a state religion and the right to bear arms.
In addition to these subpages, there are also those that advertise tourism, justice and internships in the US government. Anyone who tries to access these pages will end up on a dark blue website. It says “Page not found”.
Biographical subpages of former US presidents, including those of Republicans Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, also displayed error messages, as did those of Democrats Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
When asked by USA Today, the White House said the error message was unintentional and would be fixed soon. “It’s day two. We are in the process of developing, editing and optimizing the White House website,” White House deputy press secretary Harrison Fields said Tuesday. “We will endeavor to re-upload this content shortly.”
