BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the week at 10,035.76 points with an increase of 0.58 percent.
At the opening, BIST 100 index increased by 57.82 points and 0.58 percent compared to the previous closing, reaching 10,035.76 points.
The banking index gained 0.95 percent and the holding index gained 0.50 percent.
While all sector indices increased, the sector that gained the most was the bank.
BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a buying-oriented trend in the country on Friday, closed the day at 9,977.94 points, gaining 1.13 percent in value.
While question marks remain in global markets regarding the possible effects of the policies to be implemented by the new administration in the United States on the economy, a positive trend is observed before the inauguration of Donald Trump, who will take office as the 47th President of the United States today.
Analysts stated that the international investment position and Foreign Producer Price Index (YD-PPI) data will be followed in the country today, and the Producer Price Index (PPI) data in Germany will be followed abroad, and that from a technical perspective, 10,100 and 10,150 points in the BIST 100 index will be resistance, 9,900 and 9,900 points will be followed. He noted that the 9,800 level is in a support position.
