“Anyone who raises their hand against Israel will have it cut off. We will not return to reality before October 7, 2023,” said Katz.

According to a report in the Financial Times, representatives of the “Board of Peace” founded by US President Donald Trump are holding talks with the state-owned logistics group DP World from Dubai. This involves managing supply chains for aid supplies and the possible construction of a new port in the Gaza Strip, the newspaper reports, citing insiders. DP World and the White House could not immediately be reached for comment.

Despite the lack of clarity about a possible further round of negotiations, the US government sees itself closer than ever to an agreement with Iran. “The United States has never been closer to getting a really good deal than it is right now – unlike the terrible deal that Barack Hussein Obama signed,” White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told Fox News. She was referring to the 2015 nuclear deal, which US President Donald Trump later withdrew.

The USA is close to an agreement, Leavitt said. If that doesn’t happen, the president has several options at his disposal, “which he will use without hesitation.” Trump has previously shown that he follows his words with actions.

According to Trump, the agreed ceasefire between the USA and Iran expires on Wednesday evening Washington time. If there is no agreement, Trump said he would order attacks on the energy sector and civil infrastructure. It is unclear whether there will be a second round of negotiations before the end of the ceasefire.

If the war against Iran were to resume, Tehran would have “new trump cards on the battlefield,” according to Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. “In the past two weeks, we have been preparing to play new trump cards on the battlefield,” said Ghalibaf, Iran’s chief negotiator in the talks with Washington, on Monday on the online service X. He also reiterated that Tehran “does not accept negotiations in the shadow of threats.”
