Nationwide, thousands take to demonstrate against Donald Trump’s migration policy. However, the US President does not deviate from his course. All information in the US news blog.
In the heated debate about his migration policy, US President Donald Trump follows. The Republican instructed the immigration authority ICE in a long contribution on its Truth Social platform to expand arrests and deportations, especially in the democratically ruled metropolises Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. These cities are the “power center” of the Democratic Party. The officials would have to “do everything in their power” for the “greatest mass deportation in history”. Trump appealed to ICE and other authorities: “Completing the job!”
In several US cities there have been protests against Trump’s migration policy in the past few days. The demonstrations became more intensely and occasionally moved in Krawalle, after the President of the Los Angeles area was sent to Los Angeles – against the express will of the California governor Gavin Newsom, who is considered the possible candidate for the Democrats for the Presidential Election 2028.
Mass deports were a central promise of campaigns by Trump. Raids and arrests have been staged publicly since taking office: with press releases, photos of the affected and regular updates about the enforcement. A thorn in the side of Trump is so -called Sanctuary Cities at his hard course – cities, some of which are more, sometimes less vehemently refuse to cooperate with ICE. This also includes Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.
A man shot in the US state of Utah in protests against US President Donald Trump has succumbed to his injuries. The 39-year-old Arthur Folasa Ah Loo died in the hospital, the police said on Sunday. He had been seriously injured in Salt Lake City on Saturday in one of the nationwide rallies against Trump.
According to police, a 24-year-old man had handled the demonstration with a half-automatic rifle. A member of the security team responsible for the rally then handed over three shots on the 24-year-old. A bullet hit Ah Loo “tragically”.
The 24-year-old, who had not given a shot himself, was arrested, the police said. He should be charged with murder. The man who fired the shots was not arrested. He was cooperating with the investigators, it said.
A hundreds of thousands of people went on the streets across the United States on Saturday to protest against Trump’s politics under the motto “No Kings” (“no kings”).
The US government is considering a significant expansion of its entry restrictions for foreigners. Citizens from 36 other countries could be affected, emerges from an internal document of the US State Department. “The ministry has identified 36 countries for which a complete or partial entry ban could be recommended,” says the letter sent on the weekend.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained a dozen concerns about the countries concerned and called for corrective measures for the visas. US President Donald Trump signed a decree in early June that prohibits citizens from twelve countries. He justified the step with the protection of the USA from “foreign terrorists” and other threats to national security.
