Attack in Doha: Qatar warns Israel of consequences for the Hamas Geiseln. US president is said to have made a heated phone call with Netanyahu.

The US newspaper “Wall Street Journal” reports that US President Donald Trump described the attack on Hamas in Qatar in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “unclear”. The newspaper describes Trump’s telephone conversation with Netanyahu on Wednesday as heated. She relies on high -ranking government officials. Netanyahu said Trump that he only had a short time window for the attacks and took the opportunity.

A second phone call between the two politicians on the same day was friendly. Trump asked Netanyahu whether the attack was successful.

Israel’s attempted attack on the leadership of the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas in Doha on Tuesday could have negative consequences for the hostages in the Gaza Strip. “I think what Netanyahu did yesterday has every hope for these hostages,” said the Qatarian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, on Wednesday in an interview by the US television channel CNN.

In the morning of the attack, he met with one of the families of the hostages. “They count on this (ceasefire) mediation, they have no other hope,” said Al-Thani. Catar taught together with Egypt and the USA in the Gaza War between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas. There are still 48 hostages in Gaza, 20 of which are still alive according to Israeli information. After the attack, relatives had given great concern about the fate of the kidnapped.

In a message, the Foreign Ministry in Doha condemned the “express threats” Netanyahus as “irresponsible and ruthless”. Netanyahu had warned Qatar on Wednesday to show the representatives of the radical Islamic Hamas. He said literally: “Bring her to court. Because if she doesn’t, we will do it.”

The Foreign Ministry in Doha explains that the establishment of the Hamas office in Qatar was carried out as part of the mediation effort requested by the USA and Israel. Netanyahu’s assumption that Qatar secretly houses the Hamas delegation, is a “desperate attempt to justify a crime condemned by the whole world”. Qatar will work with his partners to ensure that Netanyahu will be held accountable.

Israel’s Air Force tried to attack Hamas’ leadership in the catarian capital Doha on Tuesday. One goal was reported by Chalil Al-Haja, the highest Hamas leader abroad, who also leads the Hamas delegation around a ceasefire during the indirect negotiations. According to Hamas, however, the attack failed that no member of the delegation was killed. But six people were killed, including Al-Haja’s son and his office manager. When asked by CNN about Al-Hajas’s whereabouts, Al Thani said that there was currently no official explanation.

Shortly after Israel’s attack, Al Thani had indicated that Qatar could adhere to his role as an intermediary in the Gaza War. The next day, according to CNN, he said that “everything was re -evaluated” in terms of Katar’s commitment in future ceasefire negotiations. You are in a “very detailed conversation” with the US government how to proceed. Israel’s air raid in Katar’s capital Doha was convicted internationally.
