Calendar-adjusted total turnover index of industry, construction, trade and service sectors increased by 41.8 percent in August compared to the same month of the previous year.
Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the turnover indices for August.
Accordingly, the total turnover index adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects increased by 3.7 percent on a monthly basis in August.
Calendar-adjusted industry, construction, trade and service sectors total turnover index increased by 41.8 percent on an annual basis in the same month.
INDUSTRY AND CONSTRUCTION INDICES
The calendar-adjusted turnover index in the industry increased by 26.7 percent on an annual basis in August. Seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial turnover index also increased by 1 percent in the said month compared to the previous month.
The calendar-adjusted turnover index in the construction sector increased by 75 percent on an annual basis in August, and the seasonally and calendar-adjusted construction turnover index increased by 10.9 percent compared to July.
TRADE AND SERVICES INDICES
The trade turnover index adjusted for calendar effects increased by 42.8 percent in August compared to the same month last year, and the trade turnover index adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects increased by 4.2 percent compared to the previous month.
The calendar-adjusted turnover index in the service sector increased by 55.5 percent in August compared to the same month last year, and the seasonal and calendar-adjusted service turnover index increased by 3.3 percent compared to the previous month.
