While the Gaza genocide continues, Israel and the US’s covert operations against Turkey are once again on the agenda. There are still suspicions that Israel was the actor behind the scenes in the 2007 Dağlıca, 2008 Aktütün and 2010 Hantepe and İskenderun raids carried out by the separatist organization PKK. It is among the claims that Israeli raiders did not provide accurate information about the treacherous attacks in which Turkish soldiers were martyred.
THEY FELL IN THE OPERATION
Turkey purchased three unmanned aerial vehicles from Israel in 2007-2008. These vehicles operate at an altitude of 5,400 meters, reach a speed of 100 kilometers per hour and instantly transmit images to a command and control center 200 kilometers away. Three of the UAVs purchased from Israel crashed during the operations. Immediately afterwards, it was decided to purchase 10 Herons from Israel for 183 million dollars. Although it was planned to integrate the Turkish-made ASELFLIR-300 camera and targeting system into the Herons at that time, the Israeli company opposed this request, making excuses.
THEY WERE INTERVENING
The test flights of 10 Heron type UAVs were carried out at the ground station in Batman, but an incident during the test flights raised suspicions. A Heron that completed its test flight at the base in Batman was lost in the air for 5-6 minutes while landing. During this time, it was determined that the Heron was located and landed after the second systems were activated after the ground station officials contacted Israel. This situation It caused concern among Turkish officers that Israel had left a “back door” in the software it loaded onto the Herons and that it could intervene in the aircraft whenever it wished.
THE SECOND ISRAEL PROJECT
Former General Staff Intelligence Department Chief, retired Lieutenant General İsmail Hakkı Pekin, described the incidents he witnessed regarding the treacherous attacks in 2007 and 2010 as follows: “The possibility that MOSSAD and the CIA were behind the Dağlıca attack on October 21, 2007 and the Aktütün attack on October 3, 2008 should never be ignored. We lost many martyrs in both attacks. PKK terrorism was put into action after 2007. The alliance of Israel, the US and England was trying to steer Turkey towards the so-called peace process. “We had serious suspicions and findings that the PKK was collaborating with Mossad. They wanted to create a Kurdish corridor that would be a lifeline for Israel.”
THEY DID NOT SEND THE IMAGES!
“At that time, Herons rented from Israel were conducting reconnaissance in the air. However, what did these aircraft see in the Dağlıca and Aktütün attacks, how much of it was transmitted to us, were there any images that were not transmitted? These are all question marks. The Herons’ images were sent to Israel due to software. Israel could stop the images if it wanted. There were similar claims for the PKK’s attack on the naval base in Iskenderun on the night of May 31, 2010.”
SAYGUN’S MEMORIES
On the other hand, in his book “Sledgehammer to the Turkish Army” by former 1st Army Commander Retired General Ergin Saygun, he explains Israel’s insidious plans against Turkey in the light of very striking information. Saygun, who explains that the terrorists in Qandil met with Israeli rabbis and pressured Israeli authorities not to give Turkey unmanned aerial vehicles, relates the following in his memoirs: “Some unidentified aerial vehicles were seen over many of our units in the Southeast. “When I spoke to an Israeli, he said, ‘We will not interfere in any way with Turkey’s fight against the PKK, but there is nothing we can do about retired officers.'”
