BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a decrease of 0.61 percent at 13,035.36 points.
BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a sales-oriented trend yesterday, finished the day at 13,115.13 points, losing 0.78 percent of its value.
At the opening today, BIST 100 index decreased to 13,035.36 points, with a decrease of 79.78 points and 0.61 percent compared to the previous closing. The banking index decreased by 1.28 percent and the holding index decreased by 0.98 percent.
Among the sector indices, the highest gain was chemical petroleum plastics with 0.80 percent, and the highest decline was securities investment trust with 1.53 percent.
A negative trend stands out in global markets following the increase in oil prices due to the conflict in the Middle East and the US Federal Reserve’s (Fed) keeping the policy rate constant.
Analysts stated that weekly international reserves and foreign exchange liquidity will be followed domestically today, as well as the interest rate decisions of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bank of England (BoE) abroad, as well as the intense data agenda, and noted that technically, 12,900 and 12,800 points in the BIST 100 index are support, and 13,100 and 13,200 points are resistance.
