At the opening, BIST 100 index rose to 9,874.42 points, up 43.49 points and 0.44 percent compared to the previous close.

The banking index gained 0.82 percent and the holding index gained 0.31 percent. Among the sector indexes, banking gained the most, while securities investment trusts fell the most, down 0.96 percent.

BIST 100 index, which was in a downward trend yesterday, closed the day at 9,830.94 points, losing 0.90 percent compared to the previous close.

Analysts reported that risk appetite in global equity markets remained strong as inflation data released in the US yesterday remained below expectations.

Analysts stated that today, domestic budget balance and money and banking statistics, and US retail sales and industrial production data will be followed abroad, and noted that technically, 10,000 and 10,100 points are resistance in the BIST 100 index, while 9,800 and 9,750 points are support.
