BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the day at 8,714.65 points with an increase of 0.59.
At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 8,714.65 points, an increase of 50.77 points and 0.59 percent compared to the previous closing.
The banking index gained 0.78 percent and the holding index gained 0.53 percent.
Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was transportation with 1.18 percent, and the biggest loser was securities investment trust with 0.30 percent.
BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a sell-off trend yesterday, finished the day at 8,663.88 points, losing 2.49 percent of its value.
While a mixed trend is evident in global markets ahead of the presidential elections to be held today in the USA, very close survey results and political uncertainties make pricing difficult.
Analysts stated that today the real effective exchange rate in the country, the US presidential elections abroad, as well as the service sector Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) in the UK, foreign trade balance in the US and ISM service sector PMI data will be followed, and from a technical perspective, BIST 100 will be followed. He noted that 8,850 and 9,000 points in the index are resistance, while 8,600 and 8,520 levels are support.
