While global markets are following a positive trend due to the decreasing predictions that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will raise interest rates and the slight decline in bond interest rates, all eyes are on the non-farm employment data to be announced in the US today.

Geopolitical developments, economic data in the USA and statements from the economic management have an impact on the direction of the markets.

Fed Board Member Christopher Waller pointed out that he may support keeping interest rates constant at this month’s monetary policy meeting if economic data confirms that inflation pressures have eased, weakening the predictions that the Fed will raise interest rates.

Analysts stated that the real effective exchange rate in the country and the intense data agenda abroad, especially employment data in the USA, will be followed today, and noted that technically, 13,800 and 13,700 points in the BIST 100 index are in a support position, while 14,000 and 14,100 points are in a resistance position.
