BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul gained 2.58 percent in the first half of the day, reaching 10,087.24 points.
BIST 100 index, which had an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 10,087.24 points as of 13:00, up 254.02 points compared to the previous close. Total transaction volume was 46.6 billion liras.
The banking index gained 4.21 percent and the holding index gained 2.48 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was banking, while the only one that fell was sports, with 3.30 percent.
Analysts said global stock markets started the week cautiously, with a busy macroeconomic data calendar, particularly the US employment report.
While it is priced in that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will gradually ease its tight monetary policy starting this month, the magnitude of the steps to be taken by the end of the year remains uncertain.
Analysts stated that from a technical perspective, the 10,100 and 10,200 levels stand out as resistance in the BIST 100 index, while the 10,000 and 9,900 point levels are in the support position.
