Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 0.29 percent of its value in the first half of the day, falling to 8,980.44 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, dropped to 8,980.44 points as of 13.00, a decrease of 26.11 points compared to the previous closing. The total transaction volume was 25.8 billion lira.
While the banking index gained 0.1 percent, the holding index lost 0.3 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was sports with 0.6 percent, and the one that decreased the most was financial leasing factoring with 1.5 percent.
A negative trend is observed in global markets due to the ongoing political uncertainties due to the upcoming presidential election in the USA and before the employment report to be announced tomorrow.
Analysts stated that monthly money and bank statistics in the country and personal consumption expenditures in the USA will come to the fore in the afternoon data agenda, and noted that from a technical perspective, the levels of 8,900 and 8,800 in the BIST 100 index are in the position of support, and the points of 9,100 and 9,200 are in the position of resistance.
