The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul lost 0.19 percent of its value in the first half of the day, falling to 12,094.87 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, dropped to 12,094.87 points as of 13:00, with a decrease of 23.42 points and 0.19 percent compared to the previous closing.
The total transaction volume was 38.6 billion lira. While the banking index gained 1.35 percent in value, the holding index lost 0.42 percent.
Among the sector indices, the most profitable was banking, and the most losing was financial leasing factoring with 6.10 percent.
Analysts stated that weekly money and bank statistics in the country, retail sales in the USA, New York Fed manufacturing industry index, weekly unemployment benefit applications and Producer Price Index (PPI) will be followed abroad for the rest of the day, and noted that technically, 12,000 and 11,900 points in the BIST 100 index are support and 12,200 and 12,300 points are resistance.
