The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul lost 0.15 percent of its value in the first half of the day, falling to 9,700.99 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, fell to 9,700.99 points as of 13:00, with a decrease of 14.87 points and 0.15 percent compared to the previous close. The total transaction volume was 36.4 billion lira.
While the banking index gained 0.12 percent, the holding index lost 0.43 percent.
Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was transportation with 0.93 percent, and the biggest loser was sports with 1.81 percent.
While uncertainties regarding the effects of the steps to be taken by the new administration that will take office in the USA make pricing difficult in global markets, a mixed course is observed before the inflation data to be announced in the country today.
Analysts stated that the domestic data agenda was calm in the afternoon, and that an intense data agenda would be followed abroad, especially inflation in the USA, and stated that technically, 9,650 and 9,600 points in the BIST 100 index were support and 9,900 and 10,000 points were resistance.
