On the basis of consumer prices, the highest price increase in December 2024 was seen in eggs with 12.17 percent, and the highest price decrease was seen in air passenger transportation with 27.78 percent.
According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, the price increase in eggs last month was followed by breakfast cereal products with 9.88 percent and potatoes with 9.33 percent.
Other products whose prices increased the most in December 2024 included fresh fish with 8.33 percent, margarine with 7.84 percent, and ovens, stoves and stovetops with ovens with 7.62 percent.
Last month, the biggest price decrease was seen in air passenger transportation with 27.78 percent. This was followed by intercity passenger transportation by road with 5.66 percent, women’s shoes, children’s and baby shoes with 4.5 percent each, and men’s shoes with 3.82 percent.
