The Customs General Communiqué prepared by the Ministry of Commerce was published in the Official Gazette.
With the notification, some amounts in the Customs Law and the relevant regulation were updated with the revaluation rate determined as 43.93 percent. Accordingly, the irregularity penalties specified in the law and Customs Regulation will be 1991 lira.
Overtime fee at customs was determined as 110 lira for exports, 259 liras for other transactions, 259 liras per vehicle for exports for trucks with Turkish license plates, and 407 liras for other transactions.
Monetary limits on customs and foreign trade regional directorates and the Ministry’s refund or removal of customs duties have also been increased.
The Communiqué will enter into force on January 1, 2025.
