Presidential Investment Office President Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu met with investors and held bilateral meetings at the Asian Finance Forum held in Hong Kong.
According to the statement made by the Presidential Investment Office, the last stop of the Office’s investment diplomacy tours around the world was Hong Kong.
Presidential Investment Office President Dağlıoğlu, who previously met with investors in countries such as South Korea and Japan, made contacts in Hong Kong.
Dağlıoğlu, who attended the Asian Finance Forum, which is considered one of the most important events in the region and was held on January 13-14, made a presentation at the “AFF Deal Making” session, where one-on-one meetings were held on quality international direct investment projects, and told international investors about the investment climate and opportunities in Turkey. .
In the session attended by high-level participants from many Asian countries, information was given about the investment interest in Turkey from regional countries and the investment potential in Turkey.
In his presentation, Dağlıoğlu drew attention to Turkey’s investment performance in recent years and stated that direct international investments, which were at the level of 15 billion dollars between 1973 and 2002, exceeded 270 billion dollars with the determined reforms and economic policies implemented in the last 20 years under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Talking about international direct investments towards Turkey, Dağlıoğlu said:
“The fact that the number of multinational companies, which was approximately 5 thousand 600 in 2002, exceeds 83 thousand from 180 different countries today is proof of the importance that Turkey attaches to diversity, hospitality and a dynamic investment environment. Turkey, which we define as the ‘connection point of the world’; Europe, Asia and the Middle East With its strategic location connecting the East, it offers uninterrupted inter-market access to all its commercial partners.
This strategic location also makes Turkey a critical partner of initiatives such as the ‘Belt and Road’ that strengthen global trade routes. “We invite all investors to take advantage of the unique opportunities offered by Turkey, which has become a global connection point where capital, innovation and ideas meet.”
