Türkiye’s developments in naval defense technologies have become high on the agenda of international defense media. According to analysis by The Defense Post The Turkish Navy has officially put the SANCAR Armed Unmanned Marine Vehicle (SİDA), jointly developed by HAVELSAN and Yonca Shipyard, into its inventory. In the analysis, it was emphasized that SANCAR has automatic decision support mechanisms and can work integrated with other naval platforms in NATO standards, thanks to its mission autonomy built on the ADVENT battle management system infrastructure. The system can also be managed from mobile land control stations and perform herd operations. SANCAR has a length of 12.7 meters and a displacement of 9 tons. The platform can reach speeds of over 40 knots (74 km per hour) with its double diesel engine and water jet system. The vehicle can operate with a range of 400 nautical miles (approximately 741 km) and exhibit operational capability in all kinds of difficult sea conditions. of the platform, The weapon systems include Roketsan-produced UMTAS and Cirit missiles, as well as the Aselsan SMASH 200 12.7 mm remote-controlled weapon system. SANCAR can be used in missions such as reconnaissance, surveillance, intelligence, surface warfare and protection of critical maritime infrastructures.
FIRST EXPORT TO ASIA
According to the second analysis by The Defense Post Turkey will also export two armored and armed multi-purpose patrol boats to an unnamed country in Southeast Asia. This sale was recorded as Türkiye’s first patrol boat export to the Southeast Asian region. According to the analysis, the agreement will be realized within the scope of the joint business model established between Turkish companies Bay Galata and Kraken Marine Industries. The publication stated that Türkiye is rapidly increasing its effectiveness in the global market in the field of corvettes, patrol ships and autonomous marine systems. ULAQ GOES TO SAUDI ARABIA

This agreement is considered a “first” in terms of Saudi Arabia’s goals of localizing defense production.
