Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced on his social media account that the 2024 second quarter results report of the Vacant Job Statistics Survey prepared by İŞKUR to determine the sectors with the highest demand for workers and the professions in which workers are most sought after has been published.
Işıkhan, who stated that “We identified 270,761 open jobs (employees requested or needed by the employer) by contacting 17,181 businesses with 1 or more employees”, invited those who want to examine the open jobs and apply for a suitable job to visit “http://esube.iskur.gov.tr”.
According to the report, while the job opening rates of 4 out of 17 sectors covered by the research were above the average in Turkey, the job opening rates of 13 sectors were below the general average.
It was seen that there were a total of 114 thousand 552 open jobs in businesses with 1-9 employees, and 156 thousand 209 open jobs in businesses with 10 or more employees.
In this context, it was determined that the highest job opening rate as of the second quarter of 2024 was in the “Accommodation and Food Service Activities” sector with 2.9 percent.
This sector was followed by “Manufacturing” with a 2.3 percent open job rate and “Culture, Arts, Entertainment, Recreation and Sports” with a 1.7 percent open job rate.
