Via Monte Napoleone has topped the list of the world’s most expensive shopping streets, leaving behind New York and London. The 350-meter-long street became the first European city to top the list after 34 years. Rents on the street have increased by 30 percent in the last two years. Rents currently start from 20 thousand euros per square meter per year. Istiklal Street in Istanbul ranked 40th on the list.
