The economy is estimated to have grown by 2.7 percent in the first quarter

Economists participating in AA Finans’ expectation survey estimate that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will increase by 2.7 percent on an annual basis in the first quarter.

AA Finans’ expectation survey regarding the 1st Quarter GDP data to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Monday, June 1, was concluded with the participation of 13 economists.

According to the survey results, economists estimate that the Turkish economy will grow by 2.7 percent on an annual basis in the first quarter of the year.

The growth expectations of the economists participating in the survey for the first quarter were between 1.95 percent and 3.40 percent.

The median of economists’ growth expectations for the whole of 2026 was 3.3 percent. Estimates regarding this expectation were recorded as the lowest level 2.50 percent and the highest level 4 percent.

On the other hand, the median of economists’ growth forecasts for the end of 2027 was 4.50 percent. Türkiye’s economy grew by 3.4 percent in the 4th quarter of 2025 and 3.6 percent in 2025.
