According to the statement made by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the economic confidence index, which was 94.4 in July, decreased by 1.3 percent in August and became 93.1.
Compared to the previous month, in August, the consumer confidence index increased by 0.6 percent to 76.4, the real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index decreased by 0.7 percent to 98.0, the service sector confidence index decreased by 2.0 percent to 111.8, the retail trade sector confidence index increased by 0.8 percent to 107.9, and the construction sector confidence index increased by 1.1 percent to 88.0.
