Exchange-Protected Turkish lira Deposits and Participation Accounts (KKM) decreased by 26 billion 246 million liras last week, falling to 1 trillion 223 billion 999 million liras.
The weekly bulletin of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has been published.
Accordingly, the total credit volume of the banking sector increased by 70 billion 790 million liras in the week of November 22, from 15 trillion 160 billion 652 million liras to 15 trillion 231 billion 443 million liras.
Total deposits in the banking sector, including interbanks, decreased by 50 billion 974 million liras last week, decreasing to 18 trillion 275 billion 29 million liras.
THE AMOUNT OF CONSUMER CREDITS WAS 1 TRILLION 919 BILLION LIRA
The amount of consumer loans increased by 25 billion 850 million liras as of November 22, reaching 1 trillion 919 billion 375 million liras. Of the amount in question, 492 billion 5 million lira consisted of housing loans, 74 billion 226 million lira from vehicle loans and 1 trillion 353 billion 143 million lira from consumer loans.
During this period, the amount of installment commercial loans increased by 19 billion 288 million liras and reached 2 trillion 28 billion 695 million liras.
Banks’ individual credit card receivables increased by 0.7 percent, reaching 1 trillion 688 billion 143 million liras. Of the individual credit card receivables, 590 billion 914 million liras were installment debts and 1 trillion 97 billion 229 million liras were non-installment debts.
LEGAL EQUITY INCREASED
As of November 22, non-performing receivables in the banking sector increased by 1 billion 246 million liras compared to the previous week, reaching 281 billion 533 million liras. Special provisions were allocated for 208 billion 666 million liras of non-performing receivables.
In the same period, the legal equity capital of the banking system increased by 1 billion 199 million liras and reached 3 trillion 300 billion 444 million liras.
KKM balance decreased by 2.1 percent and 26 billion 246 million lira last week, falling to 1 trillion 223 billion 999 million lira.
Thus, the size of KKM became 6.7 percent of the total deposits.
