Tesla is preparing to recall over 1.8 million vehicles in the US.

US electric carmaker Tesla will reportedly recall more than 1.8 million vehicles in the United States due to a software issue that could cause the hood of the vehicle to open and block drivers’ view.

In the statement made by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it was stated that the decision in question covers Model 3, Model S, Model X vehicles produced between 2021-2024 and Model Y vehicles produced between 2020-2024.

In the statement, it was announced that more than 1.8 million vehicles will be recalled.

It was stated in the statement that the open hood may not be detected due to a software problem, and that the hood may open completely, obstructing the driver’s view and increasing the risk of an accident.

In the statement, it was shared that Tesla has released a software update for this.
