Tesla carried the EU’s Chinese decision to court

Tesla launched a legal process against the decision of the European Union (EU) to implement additional customs duties on Chinese -made electric cars.

According to the records of the European Court of Justice, headquartered in Luxembourg, the highest court of the Union, Tesla applied for an official objection to the EU commission’s tariffs for Chinese -made electric vehicles.

Thus, after Chinese manufacturers such as BYD, Geely, SAIC and BMW, Tesla entered the legal process against the EU’s customs duties for Chinese -made electric cars.

Tesla also sends vehicles produced in the Chinese factory to the European market. With the decision of the EU, it was lower than the others, but an additional customs duties to Tesla were implemented.

The EU Commission completed an anti -subsidiary investigation against electric cars produced in China in October last year, introducing customs duties to electric cars from this country to Europe.

In this context, the EU, in addition to the 10 percent tax in force, Tesla’s models produced in China, 7.8 percent, 17 percent to BYD, 18.8 percent to Geely, 20.7 percent for producers cooperating in the investigation 35.3 percent of the other companies that do not cooperate on the level of additional tax.
