Serious attacks by the USA and Israel were reported again in Iran in the evening (local time). According to the Iranian Ministry of Energy, the latest attacks targeted electricity supply systems in the capital Tehran. As a result, there were power outages in various parts of the city in the evening (local time). Emergency teams have been sent to the affected areas to restore supplies as quickly as possible, state broadcaster Irib reported, citing the ministry.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army reported new attacks on targets of the Iranian leadership in Tehran. However, the military initially did not provide any information about the exact targets of the renewed wave of attacks.

Pakistan has agreed to host talks between the US and Iran in the coming days. Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced this in the evening (local time). “Pakistan will be honored to host and facilitate meaningful discussions between the two sides in the coming days to achieve a comprehensive and lasting resolution to the ongoing conflict,” it said.

Pakistan was very pleased that both Iran and the US had expressed their trust in Pakistan as a mediator in these talks. China also fully supports Pakistan’s initiative to hold talks between Iran and the US, it said.

Earlier, Dar hosted the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey in Islamabad for talks on the Iran war. Dar said that they had discussed the current situation in the region in great detail. Possible paths to an early and permanent end to the war in the region were also discussed.

The United Arab Emirates and other regional neighbors in the Gulf continue to be under attack from Iran. The Emirati Defense Ministry reported that air defense intercepted 16 missiles and 42 drones today. Since the war began four weeks ago, the country has repelled Iranian attacks with more than 410 missiles, 1,900 drones and 15 cruise missiles. So far, eleven people have been killed, including two soldiers, and around 180 others have been injured.
