A technology expert with a track record of predicting industry changes has made some eye-popping new predictions in his new book.
Ray Kurzweil, known as the technology prophet, predicted the iPhone era and that a computer would beat someone at chess in 1998.
IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO TALK TO THE DEAD AGAIN
In his new book, The Singularity is Nearer, Kurzweil claims that by 2045, humans will be able to imitate the dead by using artificial intelligence to copy them and talk to them again.
The tech prophet also suggests that advances in artificial intelligence will make it possible to resurrect loved ones and connect our brains to cloud technology in what he calls the fifth age of human intelligence.
Singularity is the idea that artificial intelligence will eventually surpass human intelligence, fundamentally changing human existence.
“THE DEAD WILL COME BACK TO LIFE”
Kurzweil believes that artificial intelligence technology holds the promise of ‘bringing back’ the dead.
According to NTV, the prophet claims that they will first come back to life in the form of simulations that imitate a human being, and then physically.
HE CREATED A COPY OF HIS FATHER
Kurzweil’s attempts to use artificial intelligence to “bring back” his father, who died when he was 22, began more than a decade ago. Kurzweil created a clone of his father by feeding him letters, essays and musical compositions.
