BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the day with an increase of 0.12 percent at 13,889.37 points.
BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a sales-oriented trend yesterday, finished the day at 13,872.25 points, losing 0.67 percent of its value.
The index rose to 13,889.37 points at the opening today, with an increase of 17.12 points and 0.12 percent compared to the previous closing. The banking index gained 0.45 percent and the holding index gained 0.04 percent.
Among the sector indices, mining was the one that gained the most with 0.63 percent, and electricity was the one that decreased the most with 1.12 percent.
While the search for direction comes to the fore in global markets due to geopolitical developments and the pause in the technology rally, all eyes are on the non-farm employment data to be announced in the USA today.
Geopolitical risks and developments in the technology sector determine the direction of global markets. The decline in investors’ interest in artificial intelligence stocks, which drove the markets to record levels, caused optimism in the technology sector to decrease in the markets.
The fact that US chip manufacturer Broadcom’s revenue forecast and chip sales outlook fell below expectations also stopped the sharp rises in technology stocks.
Analysts stated that today, domestic inflation, treasury cash balance, and abroad, non-agricultural employment in the USA and growth in the Eurozone will be followed, and noted that technically, 14,100 and 14,200 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, while 13,800 and 13,700 points are support.
