BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 1.06 percent in the first half of the day, reaching 14,255.24 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, reached 14,255.24 points as of 13:00, with an increase of 149.80 points and 1.06 percent compared to the previous closing.
The total transaction volume was 78.2 billion lira. While the banking index lost 0.30 percent of its value, the holding index gained 1.18 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that increased the most was tourism with 3.57 percent, and the one that lost the most was informatics with 0.09 percent.
As geopolitical concerns originating from the Middle East partially eased in global markets and positive expectations for the semiconductor industry strengthened, risk appetite increased, led by technology stocks.
Analysts stated that the data agenda at home and abroad is calm today, and noted that technically, 14,300 and 14,400 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and 14,100 and 14,000 points are support.
