BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.87 percent in the first half of the day and rose to 14,475.68 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 14,475.68 points as of 13:00, an increase of 125.09 points and 0.87 percent compared to the previous close.
The total transaction volume was 83 billion lira. While the banking index gained 0.48 percent, the holding index lost 0.21 percent.
Among the sector indices, the biggest increase was forest paper printing with 2.38 percent, and the biggest loss was tourism with 0.95 percent.
While global markets followed a mixed course with concerns about whether the positive effects of technology companies’ artificial intelligence spending will be seen in the near term, investors focused on the non-agricultural employment data to be announced in the USA today.
Stating that weekly money and bank statistics will be followed in the country for the rest of the day, analysts stated that the intensive data agenda will be followed abroad, especially the non-agricultural employment data in the USA, and noted that technically, 14,600 and 14,700 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and 14,400 and 14,300 points are support.
