The Democratic Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, announced this and said he had spoken to his wife and daughters. The man “died as a hero” and leaned protectively over his family when the shots were fired at the Trump rally. He was an “enthusiastic supporter” of Trump.
At the rally in the small town of Butler in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening (local time), a man shot at the Republican presidential candidate; Trump was injured in the ear.
