The spectator killed at a campaign rally by former US President Donald Trump in the state of Pennsylvania was a firefighter and family man. The Democratic Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, announced this and said he had spoken to his wife and daughters. The man “died as a hero” and leaned protectively over his family when the shots were fired at the Trump rally. He was an “enthusiastic supporter” of Trump.
At the rally in the small town of Butler in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening (local time), a man shot at the Republican presidential candidate; Trump was injured in the ear. The 20-year-old perpetrator was killed. In addition to the man in the audience who died, two other spectators were injured. Shapiro said their condition remained critical.
